Work Locations : Bangalore / Chennai

Position Summary :

A Test Engineer will be a part of the delivery team and will be actively involved in testing the mobile applications.

Competencies :

Testing :


- Good understanding of different phases of testing life cycle and deliverable of different phase of STLC

- Expertise of testing methodologies and Test reporting process

- Ability to understand and analyze the project requirements

- Knows testing process, test case development, testing techniques and procedures.

- Expertise in test execution and bug reporting

- Good understanding of bug lifecycle and hands on experience of defect tracking tools like bugzilla, Quality Center, etc.

- Understanding of Control Systems like VSS, Subversion or CVS

- Demonstrates the ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports.

- Has the ability to produce good quality deliverables independently

Role Scope :

- Accountability and supervision Reports to Test Lead

- People Management None - Individual Contributor

- Level of Interaction External Level and Nature

- None- Might be involved in a client de-brief session Understanding requirements and attending defect triage calls

- Internal Level and Nature

- Team members/ Project Delivery Team/ Product Support Team/ Prod support Team Operational- routine reporting of progress/ issues, seeking / providing guidance on technical issues/ escalations

Responsibilities :

- Analyze functional / non-functional requirements and convert them into Test Scenarios / Test Cases

- Identify Test Data Requirements

- Involve in Test Case reviews and update the test cases accordingly

- Involve in test case execution and report the bugs in Bug tracking tool

- Involve in different testing methodologies

- Participate and contribute in Team meetings

- Applies and adheres to company policies and procedures

- Good understanding of test automation

Process knowledge :

- Software Development Project Development

- Understanding of SDLC
